NIȽ TU,O is excited to launch its family-themed art contest to celebrate Family Day on February 19th.

Anyone of the Beecher Bay, Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Songhees, Tsawout, Tseycum, and T’Sou-ke communities is welcome to participate in the two age categories:
- 3-12 y/o
- 13-19 y/o
We’re picking two winners, one from each age group, to receive a fantastic Prize Pack worth $80. This pack will include a stylish bag, t-shirt, art supplies, a gift card and a copy of our Culture & Care Daily Planner. NIȽ TU,O’s website will also showcase the winners’ art for one month.
To enter, you can submit between one to three landscape-oriented art pieces. Drop them off in person at the NIȽ TU,O staff offices, or send a photo via text to (778) 661 – 1801. Submissions can be either drawings or paintings that reflect the theme of “family.” Make sure to include your name, community, age, an interesting fact, a description of the artwork, and a contact phone number with your submission.

This Family Day art contest is just one small part of NIȽ TU,O’s efforts to strengthen Coast Salish children and families through confidential, culturally safe Family Strengthening Programs and Support Services. NIȽ TU,O is excited to highlight the artistic talents of the communities’ youth while celebrating the importance of family and culture.
