NIȽ TU,O Child & Family Services cultural camps for children in care and children from the communities have opportunities to paddle smaller canoes. These camps provide an enriching opportunity to experience community, culture, and a healthy lifestyle by getting out on the water. In this interview, Len Morris and his mother Rita Morris discuss the profound advantages provided by this activity and show a completed 36-foot cedar strip canoe made for NIȽ TU,O Child & Family Services. The hope being that the children will have the opportunity to be out on the water and take part in Tribal Journey’s.
